Larry Ashery
Attorney At Law
Registered Patent Attorney

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Larry Ashery has established himself as a preeminent figure in the realm of intellectual property law. Larry started Ashery Law in order to fulfill the needs of businesses that are looking for a patent practitioner without the overhead of a large law firm. Larry also wanted to work with clients who are looking for an attorney that has procured patents strong enough to be litigated and licensed. Additionally, Larry wanted to provide businesses with the advantage of his significant experience, as a result of him achieving the issuance of over 2000 patents.

Larry graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, Moore School of Electrical Engineering, and his senior thesis of three-dimensional real time medical imaging garnered praise as a medical breakthrough. Upon graduating, he worked as a computer engineer with RCA Goverment Systems, Camden, New Jersey, on the design of telecommunications systems with cryptographic capability.

He graduated from Temple Law School, working his way through law school by writing patent applications on a part time basis. Those applications issued into patents that were owned by IBM, Unisys and Commodore. After graduating law school, he worked as an associate for an intellectual property boutique, rose through the ranks, and ultimately became a managing partner. At one point, he was directly supervising six attorneys and three departments, namely foreign originated prosecution, international IP protection, and Docketing (critical date management). It was during that period of his career that he worked closely and extensively in Panasonic in Osaka, Japan. His relationship with Panasonic was extremely close, and over seven summers he worked with Panasonic in a secondment, while living in the nearby city of Kobe.

He eventually transitioned to another intellectual property boutique in Philadelpha, and built multiple patent portfolios before going in-house, first with a software engineering company, and then with an automotive parts retailer and manufacturer. In his in-house positions, Larry handled substantial amounts of intellectual property issues (procurement, licensing, litigation management) as well as all other corporate law functions. He began to build his private practice at that time, and eventually transitioned to a solo practitioner on a full time basis.

With a comprehensive skill set encompassing patent procurement, litigation management, trademark registration, and international IP protection, Larry Ashery continues to be a driving force in the legal landscape, ensuring that his clients receive the highest level of representation and advocacy.
